I love driving my V12 Vantage on the track. And I am proud to say, I’m slowly getting better at it too 🙂 Last week at the BIG 5 track event, I was able to do about 40 laps around my favorite circuit, Spa Franchorchamps. Here’s one of my laps, filmed by my friend Mark with his phone while in the passenger seat. It’s a bit shaky, but I think it gives a good impression of what it’s like to drive a V12 Vantage around this beautiful track. Enjoy:
This weekend we organized another edition of the 2-monthly Sunday Drive for the Dutch Power Beauty Soulmates. This time, we created a nice route through Brabant, the mid-southern part of the Netherlands, taking us over beautiful roads and through many nice villages.
Last April I already visited Biarritz together with my friend Eduard, to plan routes in the Pyrenees for the club trip in June. So last week, we went again, but this time for real, with twenty Aston Martins! Two days driving from Amsterdam to Biarritz, 4 days in the Pyrenees, then back to Amsterdam in 1 day. Next to my job as “route manager”, I was able to make lots of photos of Aston Martins at beautiful locations (and fuel stations 🙂 ). Here’s a selection:
“De Dijk” is a home for the mentally disabled and people with an autistic disorder or acquired brain injury. It’s the Amsterdam location of the “Ons Tweede Thuis” foundation (“Our Second” Home”). Last Sunday, we visited De Dijk with four Aston Martins to take 15 residents for a nice ride along the Amstel river and a short highway run. Resulting in big smiles and many happy faces 🙂 A quick impression:
Lots of car events last weekend. First the Shmeeting in Amsterdam, then later that Friday the introduction of the new Porsche Macan at the Porsche dealership (won’t bother you with that one 🙂 ) and then on Saturday the 2014 edition of the Spring Event.
An amazing barn find, reported by Road & Track this week: Two DBS Coupes, one a 1969 DBS and the other a 1970 DBS V8 Series I.
Summer 2014 is coming, which means our calendar is filling up with lots of car events. So it’s about time that our favourite summer car, the Cobalt Blue V12 Roadster, gets a nice summer outfit again. Last year, the Roadster was made into a look-a-like of the Vantage GT3 in Bilstein livery. For this summer, we wanted something equally wild, but with an original design. So we dropped off our blue beauty at JD Customs and they designed and created this spectacular Union Jack style wrap:
Yes, it’s that time of the year again: Wrapping Time! Early this week, we dropped off our Blue Beauty at JD Customs, for its’ Summer 2014 look. And it’s gonna be spectacular!
The “BZT show” is a Dutch television program that makes kids’ dreams come true. We were asked to come to the studios with some nice cars, to make one super-car loving boy very happy. Of course we will. So off to Hilversum we went, bringing two V12 Vantages, together with our friends from JD Customs, who brought two very nice Ferrari’s.
My Cobalt Blue V12 Vantage Roadster and a friend’s Cobalt Blue V8 Vantage Roadster, both waiting to get their throttle pedal replaced 🙂
