Looking at the price tag (US $2.4 million) you would think that this example is one of the 19 original Zagato’s. But no, this black beauty that is for sale is a unique one-off custom built project.
Here’s the story behind this unique DB4 GT Zagato:
In 2005, the owner sent his engine-less DB4GT (with chassis no. #101) to Shapecraft Facility in Newport Pagnell (England) for a complete custom build operation. The car was fitted with a new handmade aluminium Zagato bodywork. Under the hood you will find a supercharged six-cylinder from 1997 Aston Martin DB7 linked to five-speed manual Getrag transmission from an Aston Martin DB7 Alfred Dunhill Edition.
This “Zagato” is an expensive expertly handcrafted car, complete with modern day bodywork and modern mechanical components. This project was built without a budget limit and I think that explains the high tag price of 2.4 million dollars.
