Customizing my V12 Vantage – Part 2 : Blacked out window trim

In part two of the “Customizing my V12 Vantage” series, we’re going to look at the first de-chroming I did: blackening out the window trim. This was done by wrapping the original chrome window sills with thin black foil, without even removing them first.

Before:

After:

Blacked out window trim 1

Blacked out window trim 3

The problem is, once you start de-chroming, you have to go all-the-way. And there’s a lot of chrome on the average Aston Martin ๐Ÿ™‚ Look out for more de-chroming to happen in later installments of this series.

  1. Fantastic done! Less bling-bling on the car.
