Aston Martin has chosen the Geneva Motorshow to show their new Rapide S for the first time, bringing two beautiful examples, one in Selene Bronze and one in Volcano Red.
A quick recap on the Rapide S: It is Aston’s new version of the Rapide, which will replace the current Rapide (contrary to what they did with the Vantage and Vantage S).
The Rapide S uses the new AM11 6.0 litre V12 engine (like the Vanquish), which results in 558 hp (up from 477 hp!), 620 Nm, a new top speed of 190 mph ( = 306 km/h) and a 0-62 acceleration in 4.9 seconds. To handle all the new power, the Rapide S is fitted with a new Adaptive Damping System.
Visually, the Rapide S can be distinguished from the regular Rapide by the huge full grille, a higher boot lip spoiler and the new diamond turned wheels.
