This is my favorite of all cars currently at the Aston Martin stand in Geneva. It’s another example of “what Q can do”: a Vanquish in Morning Frost White, with a complete Spectral Blue interior and several interesting blue highlights on the exterior. Strange, but somehow it works. Or, let me be more specific: it works for me 🙂
The Kroymans Aston Martin dealer was the gathering place for yesterday’s meeting of the dutch Power Beauty Soulmates club. Twelve Aston Martin’s arrived around noon for coffee, then left for a nice tour through the center of the Netherlands.
Well duh… to the new Vanquish of course. At the Festival Automobile International in Paris, the Vanquish has won the award for “The most beautiful Supercar of the Year”. This is the second time an Aston has won this award. The same prize went to the Rapide in 2010.
Last Tuesday, on the exact day of Aston Martin’s 100-year anniversary, a Centenary Dinner was organized at the Hilton Park Lanel hotel in London. 800 guests were invited for champagne, food and alas, the obligatory speeches. Having been a good boy during Aston’s first 100 years, I was invited to join the party. Here’s some pictures of the event and, of course, of the Astons that were present.
Okay, so this is what all the hype was about. Today Aston Martin has put a Vanquish on the helipad on top of the Burj Al Arab tower in Dubai.
Aston Martin has just announced that to celebrate their 100-year anniversary, they will create 400 special Centenary Edition models, 100 each for the Vanquish, the DB9, the Rapide and the V8 Vantage. Today, the first Centenary Edition has been revealed: a very special Vanquish:
A very cool spot just appeared on Autogespot.com. A Cobalt Blue new Vanquish, together with a Tungsten Silver “old” Vanquish. What a pair!
Last Sunday all members of the Dutch Aston Martin club, the Power Beauty Soulmates, were invited to enjoy a High Tea at Kroymans, our local Aston Martin dealership. Here’s a photo impression of this High Tea event (photos taken by yours truly).

Of course, 2013 is also the year in which Aston Martin celebrates its 100-year anniversary, with many special events planned. The first of which is the 100th Birthday dinner at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel, London, at which 800 guests will attend, including yours truly. If you’re there too, come say hi. Aston Martin just released their latest video, featuring he ‘Power, Beauty, Soul Tour 2012‘ which took place in September and October this year. A series of exclusive events across Europe saw the presentation of the New Aston Martin Vanquish, V12 Vantage Roadster and the iconic V12 Zagato – the first time these three new models have been presented together…. Personally I had the chance to see the tour twice, once in Spa and the second time at Aston Martin Hilversum. Enjoy!
