Kroymans is one of the 2 Dutch Aston Martin dealerships. In fact, it is a combined dealership for Aston Martin, Jaguar and Ferrari. Last Friday, Kroymans organized an “Arrive & Drive” event, inviting a small group of customers to come and try the newest models of all 3 car brands, on both public roads and on the track.
One of my friends at Aston Martin Europe (hi Marcel!) is currently driving this wonderful V12 Vantage S demo car, in Viridian Green!
The night before last week’s track day at the Nürburgring GP Strecke, all participants were invited for dinner at Aston Martin’s Nürburgring Test Center. I always love going there, because they never fail to have a nice collection of demo cars present.
I am currently in Las Vegas for business, so yesterday I figured: While I am here, why not visit the local Aston Martin dealer, Towbin Motorcars. Towbin is a combined Aston Martin, Bentley and Rolls Royce dealership, with an impressive stock of new and used cars. The guys and gals at Towbin were friendly and I enjoyed talking with them about Aston Martin and of course, taking lots of pictures of the nice Astons they had in stock, including a very special Vanquish Volante. Sadly I wasn’t able to visit the Techno Classica show in Essen last week, but judging from the pictures, it looks like it was a huge show with lots of nice cars, including many Aston Martins. Luckily, I received these photos from Mitchell van Alphen, showing the modern Astons at the show.
Yep, two car shows in one week! Saturday’s Interclassics event was all about classic Astons, but yesterday it was time to spot some new models at the AutoSalon in Brussels. I spent most of my time in Hall 12, the super car hall, where Aston Martin had a stand showing a Rapide S, a Vanquish and a V12 Vantage S. But two other Astons could be found in other halls, a V12 Vantage GT3 hidden away in the bike halls and a classic DB6 Vantage at the Vredestein stand.
This Sunday, the Kroymans dealership held a belated New Year’s party. Special guests: a Vanquish Volante in Apple Tree Green and a Yellow Tang V12 Vantage S! Together with a pre-owned DB9 Volante in Volcano Red, this formed a nice rastafari coloured threesome:
This V12 Vantage Roadster was spotted near the Nürburgring in Germany. But if you know your Astons, you’ll immediately spot something strange.
Phew, the word is out: this is the new V12 Vantage S! The V12 S in short: 573 hp, 620 Nm of torque and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). I already had the privilege of seeing this car ten days ago, in a Private Viewing at Aston Martin’s Nürburgring Test Center. But no camera’s were permitted, neither was I allowed to disclose any details before today. But today has finally arrived, so here it is!
Aston Martin just released a second teaser video of their new car, which apparently is going to be announced tomorrow. This new teaser makes it even clearer that this is about a new V12 Vantage based car, just look at the bonnet in this frame:
