Will there be a Rapide Shooting Brake based on the Bertone Jet 2+2 ?

Remember the Bertone Jet 2+2 that was revealed at the Geneva motor show this year?

A quick recap: the Jet 2+2 is a one-off shooting brake model based on the Aston Martin Rapide, created by Bertone for one special customer.

But now, rumours have appeared that Aston Martin and Bertone may decide to create a small run of this estate model Rapide. Possibly only 10 units, in which case Bertone would create them all. If however they decide to build more, it’s more likely that production would be moved to the Gaydon factory.

According to Autocar.co.uk Aston Martin would like to name the car “Rapide Shooting Brake”, while Berton prefers to stick to the original “Jet” name.
